MAPR Pals
This page has been created to help the pets that otherwise would not have had a chance to survive. Our volunteers often go into shelters and find pets that we simply cannot leave behind. Many counties have policies of immediately euthanizing any pregnant dog. Dogs, who through no fault of their own, have been neglected and discarded. All pets featured on this page may be applied for using the MAPR adoption application,unless otherwise noted on the the pets bio. For many, there will also be local contact numbers or emails for you to obtain more information about the pets featured, or an adoption application from our sister rescue organizations.

Located in Newport News, Va. only 7 weeks old, all need forever homes. Spot is the black puppy. She is a girl, very energetic and playful but with a sweet disposition. Even though she is the smallest of the litter, she makes up for it with her personality. She and the other puppies play like children. Toto is our boy. He is a strange looking puppy, very fluffy and mottled with brown, grey and white. He looks almost like a Saint Bernard but is no where as big. He is our love, gentle and sweet. He loves nothing more than to sit on his mommy and rest, or even with the nearest human. Toto is the biggest puppy but also the calmest.
All the puppies are from the same litter and are a mix of Bichon Frise and Puggle. Spot and Squirrel have the Puggle fur while Toto has the Bichon fur.

I'm not sure why I'm still in my foster home - I'm a really sweet girl and my foster mom says that I always make her feel better when she has had a bad day. I weigh about 50 lbs. I would love to go to a home where I could get ALL the attention. I have been a little spoiled at my foster home because my mom lets me sleep with her every night. She says I’m as quite as a mouse all night long. She also says I’m being spoiled, but whatever it is – I like it! I like to go on walks and I'm very content laying around and being with my human. Part of a litter of 4 located in Newport News Virginia. 7 week old puppy looking for his forever home. Squirrel, the brown puppy, is our alpha girl. She loves to play with the other dogs, both big and small, and doesn't understand that she is a puppy. She loves to jump and play, especially with Spot. ( See Spot's picture under a corresponding item ).
